LOVE the new layout! The newest to oldest is so much easier/quicker! Many thanks for all your hard work!

  2. Mandy March 24, 2009 at 11:15 pm

There are a few coupons I can’t find. The Dukes Mayo from 3/22 and the SuperPretzel Baked Soft Pretzels 13 oz $ 3.29
    – Use $0.75/1 in 3/15 RP. They are not in my flyer. Do you know why this could be happening? I’m new to this….there’s probably an obvious explanation!

    • Kelly March 25, 2009 at 7:30 am

Mandy – It is happening because coupons are regional, I try to mention the ones I know are regional, but they put out a national list and sometimes for no apparent reason the coupons are pulled from certain regions. I always feel like we lose the really good ones!! Good luck!

  3. Staci March 25, 2009 at 5:55 am

This is amazing! Thanks for all the hard work!

  4. Jennifer March 25, 2009 at 7:23 am

Thanks so much! Harris Teeter is my store of choice, and it’s usually so hard to find their coupon deals. Your site was really helpful today; thanks!

  5. Lise March 25, 2009 at 8:28 am

Hi Kelly – Thank you so much for the list! Organizing by insert is super-helpful for planning. I live in DC and our inserts often don’t match the rest of the SE region, but this way I figure out that we didn’t get a coupon sooner, and don’t tear my hair out looking for it! Plus, your blog title has me humming “Great is Thy Faithfulness….” – thanks for your work.

  6. Lydia March 25, 2009 at 8:48 am

    Kelly-
LOVED the way you organized this by circular. Patrick went at 7:00 and spent $11.82 and had $29.32 in coupons. I’ll email you my spreadsheet (pretty geeky, I know). My total is slightly lower than the actual total. On the receipt, two coupons had multiplied values of $1.04 and one was $0.64. I don’t see how that math works since all my coupons ended in a “5” or “0”.

  7. Renee March 25, 2009 at 9:10 am

I went to the Harris Teeter on 70S in Nashville/Bellemeade. They accepted the internet coupons. None of mine had DO NOT MULTIPLY/TRIPLE on them, though…

  8. Kelly March 25, 2009 at 10:09 am

Good to know about internet coupons. I did not list them here so not to frustrate everyone! I know they take the insert coupons, so I stuck w/ those.

  9. Mandy March 25, 2009 at 10:26 am

Kelly – Did my planning last night and shopped at 7 a.m! Pre-coupon total was $54. After coupons, it was $10! I’m new to your system. The tips I found most helpful: 1.) use your match-up list or the HT site to find prices prior to shopping — I wrote the item price and the after-coupon price on the coupon itself for reference as I shopped. 2.) Staple or tape the coupons onto a notepad so you can see them, then tear them off when you find the item. 3.) Stick to your shopping list. I’M SO HAPPY! Thanks!!!

My grocery buddy and I just did our run. The Brentwood store was a buzz w/ Faithful Provision followers 🙂 They are already running out of the freebies. They will not accept any printed coupons that say, “buy something and get something free.” Grand total was $54.91 but my total OOP was $18.11 ( dumb taxes!!)

  11. Heather March 25, 2009 at 11:04 am

Went to the HWY 100 with 2 lovely screaming children in tow. The store was not picked over and found some deals not listed. Could not find the free Tide or the Glory veggies. they would not accept my juice coupon (Aqua juice) since it was a internet bogo; they said they can’t accept bogo internet coupons. My bill was $74 before coupons oop was $23. My head is still spinning from trying to do this with little helpers:)

  12. Jennifer March 25, 2009 at 2:37 pm

I went to the Brentwood store this afternoon & they DO triple internet coupons as long as 1)they scan, 2)don’t say “no double/triple” and 3)aren’t for free items. My OOP was $13.42 & I had $31.16 in coupons! I can’t wait to make another trip now that I know my IP will work!

They were out of most of the freebies, but they said they’re getting a truck from the warehouse on Sunday.

Also, the Wet Wipes ($75/1 SS 2/8) & Jimmy Dean Breakfast bowls ($.55/1 RP 2/22) both say “do not double” & I was unable to use them.

  13. Jennifer March 25, 2009 at 3:01 pm

Also, the Huggies Baby Wipes ($.50/1 SS 3/1), Glory beans (.75/2 SS 2/1) & No Yolks ($.75/1) say “do not double”. My store DID take the Glory Beans & I didn’t realize until afterwards that it said not to double.

Will these still work for triples?

How do you know if a coupon will triple or not? I thought there was a code on them somewhere? It appears they all start with a 5 (even ones that say “do not double”) & end in a variety of numbers.

I LOVE the new format. So helpful. Thanks!

  15. Amber Hatchett March 25, 2009 at 5:26 pm

I had great success this morning at HWY 100. My total before coupons was $48.82, and my OOP was $7.43! I love it! I purchased:
no yolks egg noodles – 2
    dawn – 1
    sure deodorant – 2
    rhodes dinner rolls
    hot sauce – 2
    spicy brown mustard
    glory beans – 4
    peanut butter – 3
wish bone salad dressing – 2
family size tea bags – 2
    fried onions – 2

I went to the store in Nashville, 21st Ave. Its a bit smaller so I wasn’t able to get some of the things I was hoping for like the Flat Earth/Golden Flake Tortillas/Dawn Foam Pump/Domino 2lb packages, but I still used 16 Qs on my purchase (2 were $1 Qs on Wholly Guac as a treat!)
My total oop 13.xx store savings 7.xx coupon savings 32.xx
A few things I saw of interest and not in general discussions:
    1. Mac & Cheese Crackers (these were BOGO, and I got a Q at Kroger last weekend when they were handing out samples for 0.55/1)
    2. The Sure Naturals Deodorant I bought for 2.39 – 0.75x3Q had a sticker on it “TRY ME FREE”. There is a mail in rebate! I suppose they will send me $2.30 because I don’t know how they would know I used a Q?!

  17. MILLER CALLEN March 25, 2009 at 6:48 pm

Kelly — I assume if a coupon says “do not double” it will not triple either. Is this up to cashier’s discretion or does barcode dictate it? Also, some cpns say “one cpn per item purchased” and some say “one cpn per purchase.” I assume the latter means that if I have 5 cpns I have to make separate trips or do separate transactions???

  18. Kelly March 25, 2009 at 8:54 pm

    Kelly

I really enjoyed your class on Monday night and I hope you enjoyed our pot luck! Did we get the duke’s mayo coupon in Nashville? I can’t find it! and I love Dukes mayo!! Thanks!

    • Kelly March 26, 2009 at 7:59 am

I have gotten two responses saying we did not get the Duke’s, bummer!

  19. Melissa March 25, 2009 at 9:01 pm

Just a note: the 1/11 Hungry Jack Syrup $0.55 coupon is also usable on Hungry Jack Pancake Mix. At my store (Nashville) the mix is $1.97, so $0.32 per box. Also, the No Yolks coupon DID triple, so it was free.

Thanks so much for all your couponing work! Makes my shopping so much easier.

  20. Kelly March 26, 2009 at 8:12 am

Questions on DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE coupons:
What I have noticed is that the coupons that say “DO NOT…:” usually do triple, it is up to the checker’s discretion. I have even had them see it and say it was okay. So, at your own risk. Be prepared with extra coupons/items in case they won’t take them.

  21. MelRae March 26, 2009 at 9:43 am

Hi Kelly! I found your site through ThriftyMama, and I am so glad I did! I am going to the HWY 100 HT today. I am wondering if they will take my $5 off $15 coupon from CVS. If they do, it will be a nice surprise. I will ask CS when I first arrive.

  22. Allison March 26, 2009 at 9:57 am

I tried the Hungry Jack syrup coupon last night, not realizing it said “do not double”. The cashier noticed, though, so she entered it for face vaule only. Just wanted to warn anyone else before they make the same mistake!

Also, I found Suave Bobdy Wash for $1.97, and with $0.50/1 coupons, got 2 for about $1.00. Not as good as free, but not a bad deal!

HT in Brentwood is open 24 hours, and I went at 10 last night. No crowds, plenty of time to find what I needed, no lines at the register – it was great! Of course, some of the great deals were gone already by then, but since we have a week of triples, I figure I’ll get back later to get them. Happy shopping!

  23. Shelly Oliver March 26, 2009 at 10:27 am

Allison thank you for reminding me that HT is open 24hrs. I don’t have to rush up there when Daddy gets home. I can shop without the kids after bedtime. Thanks again

  24. Raki March 26, 2009 at 11:59 am

Thank you so much for posting these by insert date. You will save me oodles of time.

  25. Michael March 26, 2009 at 5:18 pm

Thanks for the triple coupon information. I will make good use of this information this weekend.

  26. Sarah March 30, 2009 at 5:50 pm

Thanks so much for the information. I love the way it is formatted! I just started couponing, so I am new to all this. I also didn’t have many coupons saved up… only the ones from the last 3 weeks.
I went to the Brentwood store today, and was disappointed to find that they were already out of several things:
    7.5 oz Softsoap hand soap
    Suave Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant
    Jet Dry rinse agent
    Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
2 lb bags of Domino’s Sugar
    Rhodes freezer rolls
That was a bummer, because most of those items would have been free or just a few cents. Still, I was able to use 14 coupons, and got in on some good sales. (i.e. Purdue chicken breasts: buy 1 package, get 2 packages free: it comes out to $1.83 per lb, which I think is pretty good). I spent $40 overall and saved $45.
