Menu Plan Monday: September 21

Welcome!  For those of you who are new to Meal Planning, go to my “Meal Planning” tab here to help you out while you are getting started - lots of great resources.

In last weeks meal plan I made pork carnitas, so I still have a TON of pork to use.  I will include it into a few meals this week, and freeze the rest with the juices for later.  I also have lots of eggs from the Aldi deal and hashbrowns from Super Doubles a few weeks ago, so a yummy hashbrown quiche is in order, we love those!!

This is a crazy busy week for us, so I am going to try to keep it simple and easy, with minimal cleanup.  Also, I am keeping the grocery trips light, we really only need fresh produce and milk, but I’ll probably pick up a few easy and good deals while I am there.

Meal Plan for the week of September 21st:

Sunday: (See my Sunday Facebook updates here.)
(Lunch)  Peach French Toast, Egg Casserole, fruit
(Dinner)   Pork Dumplings (leftover pork, green onions, sesame oil), asian slaw (cabbage, carrots, green onion and ponzu dressing)

MondayCreamy Pork Taquitos, green garden salad with tomatoes

Tuesday:   Chick-fil-A (Tuesday is Free Kids Meals night)

Wednesday:     Dinner Out (Workshop)

Thursday:  Homemade Calzones (using pepperoni, salami from Kroger sale), green salad

Friday: Dinner Out

Saturday:    Hashbrown Quiche, fruit salad

Lunches:

Tomato Sandwiches
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, sliced apples
PB&J,  sliced apples
Leftovers – Creamy Taquitos,  quiche, BBQ pork sandwiches

Breakfast:

freezer waffles w/ frozen strawberries
strawberry smoothie, whole wheat toast w/ peanut butter
cereal,  whole wheat toast w/ jelly
breakfast burrito (egg, cheese, & salsa)
egg sandwich w/ cheese, fruit
oatmeal, whole wheat toast, sliced apples

Snacks:

homemade popcorn or mini-pouches
smoothies
apples w/ peanut butter
applesauce
go-gurts
string cheese
cheese slices on crackers

I looked at that blog ourbestbites.com from another recipe you used on here. Yummy recipes there and I also want to make those creamy taquitos. I made the banana cream pie from there tonight.

Can you either post of send me your recipe for the homemade calzones? They sound yummy and there are so many varieties online I am overwhelmed!! Thanks!!
