Target: Leapfrog Alphabet Pal $.49!

by Kelly on November 12, 2009

Glad you stopped by! Looking for something? Checkout my Categories and Resources page.

leapfrog-alphabet-palUPDATE:  Sorry to get your hopes up, but it looks like Target will not honor a time sensitive sale, bummer!

Starting tomorrow,  Friday and Saturday (11/13 & 11/14), Toys ‘R Us is having a Doorbuster sale on the Leapfrog Alphabet Pal for only $10.49!   Pick up the ad at Toys ‘R Us and take it to Target, and then use this $10 off Target coupon , making the final price only $.49!!

At Target, head straight to the guest services desk with the TRU ad to price match the item, during the times and dates of the sale (Friday 3PM-12AM, and Sat 7AM-1PM).

Thanks Mojo Savings!

FYI….
Target on White Bridge Road….states that there is no price match for doorbusters or timed sales events…They were reading this from a packet of stapled papers which is what I am assuming is the Low Price Promise “rules”. I can not find these “rules” posted anywhere.

I tried this deal at Target this morning with the ad, and they said they would not match prices on “Timed Sales” meaning since this sale is a 3-? sale, they won’t match it. I also saw their policy on that and it does say they won’t match sales that are time and not just weekly store ads.
Anyone else have this problem?

Will ToysRUs honor competitor coupons?

My husband went to Target in Spring Hill this morning I got 3 of them no problem. And trust me Spring Hill Target is not the easiest to work with on coupons and price matching.

I am planning on going today- I looked at their policy online and it mentions nothing about time sensitive sales unless I missed something…?

Target is no longer doing Door Buster Price matching. The sale at Toys R Us is a Door Buster Sale (says this on the newspaper ad) and Target will not match. I just tried.

Murfreesboro Target would not do the price match either. Said they do not price match timed events.

I don’t understand a weekly ad is timed for the week , what is the difference?

I also went to Spring Hill…had no problem. Franklin store (by the mall)… no problem with this as well. I stocked up on them for gifts for birthdays/Christmas, etc. I had no idea that they would not honor “timed sales.”

A friend in Missouri just got 2 this morning at our local Target. I’ll be interested if they’ve changed the policy by the time I get to go this afternoon. Bummer..

I called around to several local Target stores and was told by some that it only applys to regular ad’s. But I found one store that said that they haven’t been told they can’t honor the door buster prices and they will still get reimbursed for the coupon. . . so I am rushing in to get a couple! :)

Thanks for the tip!

I went to Target in Topeka, KS today and they honored it! I was bad I got 3 and had a friend get 2 (I live a block away and ran home to print several coupons when they took the first one) The sale is over now, ended at 1…but yes, it was possible to get them Thanks for sharing!

The Cool Springs and Smyrna Target both honored them with no problems.

I went to the franklin target – out. antioch target – out. Finally I went to Smyrna Target and they had 3. I picked up one, and my friend picked up one. I went to check out and the guy checking me out said that customer service could help me. THe manager was walking by, and she said, oh yes just go to the service desk, and then got on her walkie talkie and asked if the service desk could take care of me with the “leap frog thing” I got to the service desk and the girl said that target will not honor the ad. =( I just felt kind of taken advantage since the guy and the manager both acted like nothing was going on. It was just kind of wierd…I’m glad it worked for some people though.

Target in West Nashville, TN did not honor this. They said we had to choose one or the other…either price match or $10 off. :(

This worked for me. I guess it depends who you get. The cashier told me it was her honor to save me so much money. How exciting. I also price matched the Pictureka Flipper game and got it for $4.99 after KMart’s add, Target coupon and manufacturer coupon.

I also tried this Friday about 5 at the Murfreesboro Target. The lady at customer service told me they will not honor doorbuster sales to price match. Wish I would have went to Smyrna now! How can it be so different at all the different locations?
