I just got a message last night from reader Shari on Facebook that some Food Lion stores are closing. I called my local store this morning and there are four in my area. It sounded like there were more in other regions, so I’d call your local store to find out.
Here are the details…
- The entire store is discounted to 30% as of this morning at 8am.
- Manufacturer coupons ARE accepted.
- You can NOT use the MVP card, all discounts are on retail prices.
- Expected to discount to 60% off on Wednesday, January 27th (Final day to be open is Feb 4th).
My local manager said all fresh meat was gone, and they would be closing the doors by February 4th. I am going to wait for the 60% off to head over there. Remember, you can get 50% by using the stock ahead method, so this isn’t a great price yet. I would hold off a week 
.
The four closing in my area are:
- Franklin, TN (Hwy 96)
- Franklin, KY
- Nashville, TN -Nolensville Rd
- Nashville, TN – Murfreesboro Rd near Kmart

This is a tragedy…twice over. No more FLIP for use at Publix either!
Are they still accepting manufacturer coupons?
Food Lion in Donelson (Lebanon Road near Briley) is NOT on the closure list.
Went there today(the FL on Lebanon Pk) and the store was half empty. Cashier said they’re closing down. The staff there was always very friendly & helpful. A tremendous loss.
Can you use coupons?

This is terrible, the McKay’s Mill Publix will no longer accept the FLIPs!
I was there earlier today and they are accepting coupons. I got some great deals on diapers as I had some $2 and $3 coupons for Pampers and Huggies!
I know they are accepting manufacturer q’q but I wonder if they’re accepting store q’s as well?
I was just at Publix in Cool Springs (Franklin, TN) and they said that they will no longer accept FL coupons beginning on Monday.

Has anyone been to the Food Lion on Hwy 96 in Franklin, TN in the last day or two? I was thinking of driving up tomorrow, but was wondering if they had anything left to make it worthwhile. Thanks!
Don’t bother…I went Thursday and it was bare. Mostly candy, gum, cigarettes, and random things.
when will foodlion at 48&main go to 50%
The store on Murf. Rd near Kmart has been closed since before Christmas, you won’t find any deals there.
