Sauteed Swiss Chard

This was so tasty! I didn’t think I was going to be a Swiss Chard fan, but after the garlic and red onions, it made this taste absolutely wonderful.

Sauteed Swiss Chard

Ingredients

  • 1 lb swiss chard, cleaned, stemmed and chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  1. Remove stems from chard and chop into 1-inch pieces. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet and add onion, garlic and chard stems.
  2. Cook about 5 minutes, then add swiss chard leaves.
  3. Cook until wilted, add lemon juice and remove from heat. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
