   Our favorite verse to teach the boys has been the Fruits of the Spirit. It helps us as parents and them as children to know that all the good things we strive to do and be are given by the Spirit. In actuality, the striving is over! He has given us these gifts, sometimes we forget that we have received them.

   Thank you for such a wonderful post!!! I feel the same way daily as I try to teach our sons about the Lord and hide the Word in their hearts. A favorite book of mine is “A Mother’s Heart” and it gives examples of how to turn everyday occurences into teaching moments about God and stories from the Bible. We are currently memorizing Psalm 100 with our 2 year old. Even though he doesn’t fully understand the words right now, I pray they will be a grounding point and source of strength in the years to come. I am excited to check out Seeds Family Worship!

     Sarah – I love that book. We did it in our moms group as a bible study a few summers ago.

   Kelly, I loved this post! I definitely struggle with feeling completely inadequate for leading my children to the Lord. It really encourages me when my kids have those “aha!” moments and I feel like they are really understanding what I’m teaching! I also LOVE Seeds Family Worship and just bought a couple of their CDs. My son is awesome at memorizing verses so I want to encourage him in every way I can, and I think these songs would be so great for him.
