This was so great ! Thank you 🙂
I made my grandson a bucket with yard tools and gloves last year. He was 3 years old, but loves to dig in the dirt with his paw. It was a big hit.
That’s such a cute idea! There are so many creative ways to do Easter baskets without the “traditional basket”. Thanks for the creative tip!
Thank you so much for your ideas! I am going to use some of your ideas to help with my son’s basket who is 11 and just started playing baseball this year. I loved the idea of adding the scriptures also, I think I will do that will all 3 of our children. God bless you and your ministry!
feline – I love the scriptures, I think they are a nice touch, but also show the boys that “real men” love God and live by his Word. 🙂
One baseball boy is getting a new glove–the other is getting a baseball bag. Found 2 Target clearanced Phillies Stadium canvas prints. Also–neighbor’s son used to play for Padres and is now playing for a AAA team–thought a few signed balls would be fun too!
Gotta avoid most candy bc one is in braces—-
I love these ideas! I have tried to completely avoid sugar, they bounce off the walls every time!
When my sisters and I would wake up for Easter, our baskets were always empty. My mom would have us hunt around the house for our stuff by using scriptures. My mom would read the verses that she had chosen and us children would have to pull out the “clue” and look around the house for it.
Ex: Mar 4:38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
So then my sisters and I would say its under a pillow. My mom wouldn’t tell us if we chose our clue correctly, she would let us hunt for it. If we chose the wrong clue, she would re-read the scripture after we came back empty handed and then we would hunt again. It was a lot of fun. I remember turning over every pillow in the house and going through every cabinet in the house looking for things : ) I know that my mom spent a lot time going through the concordance that she had for the Bible but with the internet now it shouldn’t take that long. For example by using something like Blue Letter Bible…. http://www.blueletterbible.org
