[…] This is a really refreshing drink! I made it this afternoon. It was another winning combination. It was mild tasting and not overpowering. I did forget the lemon though! Recipe and write up came from this site here. […]

Kelly – do you mind sharing what brand of juicer you use? We had one years ago, but as you mentioned, the cleaning was so intensive that it wasn’t worth it. I would be interested in finding out what you use that is easier. Thanks!
P.S. I got strawberries this past weekend at the Franklin Farmers Market, so your recipes sure are coming in handy! 🙂
We have a Waring Pro, but I have heard the Breville is amazing, and easier to clean. Now, all juicers are going to be a little tricky to clean, but I have found that, like anything, once you do it a while and you see the benefits (much like Meal Planning!) it is totally worth the extra time. I have found it is not much more time than cleaning my blender for a smoothie. We juice every day and I have a little system down.
I just got back from the strawberry farm, more strawberry recipes coming soon!!
Thank you for sharing – I’ll go do my research now. Thanks for all the recipes!
This one was amazing. Easily the best fruit-based juice I’ve had so far. The finger is the perfect addition to bring this juice together.
Jumping in on the above conversation (8 months too late), the best juicer you can buy for the money is a slow juicer. I work at Williams-Sonoma, and I love both the Hurom slow juicer and the Breville model. I own the Hurom, and the quality of juice it produces is so far ahead of the centrifugal juicers that cost as much or more. If you’re still looking, see if you can find a deal on a slow juicer.
Just started juicing this weekend….perfect timing as the hubby came down sick, so I’ve been trying to get him well by trying different combos of juice. 😉 One question…do you peel the lemon and/or cucumbers, or just put them in whole?
Oh I love fresh strawberries and especially in the juicer. I’ve heard we have to be very careful of strawberries because they are highly chemically treated. It was mentioned in one of Dr. Weil’s books I believe. I wash them good, but am pretty cautious of them. Thanks and Happy Holidays!
YUMM!! I just tried it and it is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Thanks!!! I used a cheap black and decker juicer and it worked wonderfully.
Excellent! I just started juicing and I love recipe!
Very good information. Lucky me I ran across your site by chance (stumbleupon).
I’ve saved it for later!
This was one of those meals where everything just felt right. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and there was a clear sense of creativity in the dishes. The food had a comforting, homemade quality but with a professional touch that elevated it. 11xplay
