Just wondering… wouldn’t you get a tummy issues from eating uncooked oats??? Btw, I love, love, love your site… thanks for aLL the hard work you do to help us!!!
I think it depends on the person, but it has never bothered me. One option is to soak your oats in yogurt, kefir or buttermilk to soften them up before you put them into the smoothie. Thanks for thinking of that!
How much does this yield? It would be nice to know how many servings this makes so you can cut it in half if you need to. Smoothies always yield way toooooo much for one serving. Nonetheless I will try it this morning, with one substitute Plain Greek Yogurt instead of the milk. THANKS, for the idea of adding the oatmeal.
I can usually get about 4 regular servings (8 oz) or 2 large servings (16 oz)
The smoothie sounds good. I think I will try it. I never put oatmeal in my smoothies, but I bet it makes it thicker and creamier and it also adds extra fiber. I love strawberries and bananas. They are my favorite fruits. Blessings, Deborah H. Bateman-Author
