One Pan Vegetable Penne Pasta
Recipe type: pasta, one pot
  • 1 box Barilla Pronto Penne Pasta
  • 1-2 tablespoons Barilla Pesto Sauce
  • 1 jar Barilla Tomato Sauce
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 onion, diced (red or white/yellow)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red/orange/yellow bell pepper, quartered
  • 1-2 handfuls fresh spinach (optional)
  1. In a large stockpot over medium heat add 1 tablespoon of olive oiland sauté onions, garlic and peppers for 2 minutes.
  2. Pour in water and pasta and bring to a boil.
  3. Once water has cooked down add pesto sauce and entire jar of tomato sauce.
  4. Add spinach and heat through. Once the spinach is wilted it's ready to serve.
  5. Serve in bowls topped with Parmesan cheese.
