Grilled Cabbage

Serves: 4 cups grilled cabbage
  • ½ to 1 head of Napa Cabbage, diced
  • ½ onion, diced (red or vidalia work best)
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  1. Preheat grill, and pull grill pan or basket.
  2. Prepare Cabbage: Cut cabbage like a checkerboard to create 1-2 inch pieces. This prevents it from falling through grill basket or pan. Or you can thinly slice and use in an aluminum or stainless steel pan on top of the grill.
  3. Toss cabbage with onions, oil, salt and pepper until well coated. Add more oil as needed to coat.
  4. Place grill basket over high heat on the grill. Transfer cabbage mixture to preheated grill basket.
  5. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until onions are translucent.
  6. Serve with your favorite meat, fish or pasta as a side.
