Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits
For the Chocolate Gravy
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tablespoons dutch cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For the Easy Biscuits
  • 8 ounces heavy whipping cream
  • 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
For the Chocolate Gravy
  1. Whisk together dry ingredients in a small saucepan.
  2. Once combined, add milk and water.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, whisking constantly until thick and bubbly, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  4. Take off the heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Serve immediately while hot.
For the Easy Biscuits
  1. Combine cream and flour in a large bowl.
  2. Roll out and cut biscuits with a round cutter.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Brush with melted butter.
  5. Serve biscuits open-faced, topped with butter, and drizzled with chocolate gravy.
