I mentioned this in my guest post about Steps To Take When You Are Unemployment, but I felt it was worthy of it’s own post.
Beginning April 1, 2009, Walgreens will be offering free treatments at its in-store Take Care clinics to those who have lost their job or health insurance. The clinics will offer free treatment for respiratory problems, allergies, infections and skin conditions, among other ailments.
A few things to know:
- Free services will be offered only from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Program will not offer free checkups, vaccinations or other injections.
- The program is expected to last through the end of 2009.
- Spouses and children are also eligible for free services if they don’t have insurance of their own.
