McNeil Product Recall on Infant's and Children's Products

on May 1, 2010 · 5 Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Since I post lots of deals around Children’s and Infant’s Tylenol and Motrin, I wanted to post this for you to see. It doesn’t appear to be a serious recall, just a precaution for possible quality standards testing.

You can read the recall notice with a full list of items to look for.  I had many of these on my shelves, ugh. It doesn’t give any directions on what to do with the product you have already bought.  I would call the company at 1-888-222-6036 to see what you are to do.

Note::  To see if your product is included in the recall the NDC numbers are listed on the recall sheet.  Product NDC numbers are located at the front top of the box above the product name.

Thanks, Caroline!

I emailed the company to see how to get a full refund. I’m not throwing it out without reimbursement!

Thanks Kelly! I have already given my 2 yr old son about 1/3 of a recalled bottle of Motrin. Please do let us know when you find out how we can get replacements.

I called the number this afternoon, and of course they have a recording saying they are overwhelmed with calls. The website has a place where you can leave your phone number for them to call you back (if they will), or send them an email. I think the website also said you can either request to receive a refund (of the average cost) or a coupon for a free product. I have 1 bottle of tylenol and 1 bottle of motrin. I am upset that I now have to spend money I wasn’t planning on to replace them, because I need them this week. I would love it if someone knows of a deal this week!
