When you begin looking for ways to save money, there is lots of information, so I’ve created this page to show you exactly where to start.

Click on a topic above to find a step-by-step approach to saving in each main area noted. You’ll learn how each component works together to make a real difference in your budget. Plus, there are free tools you can use for making it easy.

First, you’ll start with Meal Planning, learn how it works and get the tools you need for making it easy. From there, you’ll move on to Stockpiling. As your knowledge builds, you will continue to move through each step, building your skills.

Are you into underlining, jotting down notes, and dog-earing when you read something you like and want to remember? Since it’s kind of hard to do that on a web page, you can find all this info (plus even more ways to save) in my book, Saving Savvy: Smart and Easy Ways to Cut Your Spending in Half and Raise Your Standard of Living…and Giving!

We have used 39dollarglasses.com and eyebuydirect.com – both have served me well. I have a 2 yr old who broke my glasses (2x’s) and I have a preteen who just got glasses….if she looses hers or breaks them I am out $16.00 for the frame and lense. Mine were about $65 due to reflective glare and other add ons. **I have optometrist friends who have tested glasses from these companies and found that a certain percentage did not measure up….I was ok with that due to the cost. Hope this helps.

I’m trying to track the % I’m saving now that I’m using coupons.

$ spent + $ saved = original cost (w/0 coupons)

Do I use the total oop I paid, or use the subtotal pre-tax? Also, when Publix or Kroger prints the $ saved on my receipt, do they calculate that incluing tax?

I’m trying to compare apples to apples. Thanks for all you do!

I use the total period, with tax, because usually you have to pay tax on the free items, which ups my total oop. I hope this helps!

Does Kroger in Brentwood triple coupons each month? Is it always at the same time?

thanks

Nicole, not every month, they usually just follow Harris Teeter Triples/Super Doubles.

I talk to Target (Murfreesboro) customer service. The Toy Books were mailed out on the 28th to selected people but you can pick one up at Target after Nov. 4th.

I try the MONDAY40A on Old Navy and it does not work. The only promotion that Old Navy is showing for today is MONDAY25 to get 25% off your order and that is not on every item.
Thanks

Do you know how to get the Sears coupon for today? $10.00 off any $20 purchase? I can’t find it on the Sear.com website.

I am so glad you enjoyed it!

Could you do me a favor? Would you mind going to Amazon or Barnes & Noble and leaving a review of the book? It would help me so much to get it in more stores and spread the word. Thanks so much!

Now that I am fully retired and living on a fixed income saving money has become, with my wife, our new hobby. Grocery shopping and cutting coupons is something we do together and this website has been extremely helpful towards doing a good job. Keep up the goodwork

I would also like totake you up on the offer to invite me on to Pinterest, a website I just recently discovered and enjoy.

Thanks, David Flexon

Kelly,
I just stumbled on your site and am eating it up (no pun intended). We are a family of 11, and no, I don’t home school;) I admire all who do. We have 4 children with special needs and a good portion of my time is spent taking them to therapists, doctor’s appts., labs, etc. I strongly dislike and actually find it unhealthy, how numerous friends become OCD over coupons. The sales control them…almost an addiction. We are on a budget and live by it, but would like to save more in the food department. I have ordered your book because I am one of those old-fashioned people that loves the hard copy. At this point I have been unsuccessful at getting any coupons to print. I do have a Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sarah Risley

Have been using your couponing tips and loving it! I do find that more and more often, I cannot find some of the coupon/store deals matching and coupon data base info to be applicable to me. In other words, the SS or RP coupon listed on database or coupon match-ups is not available in the SS and RP inserts I receive. I know some of it is regional, but so many of them??? Thanks, and keep up the great work.
