One year my husband and my two girls planted roses for me as a surprise for Mother’s Day. That is still my favorite Mother’s Day memory. It was so sweet & I enjoyed for years to come.
Well, since this will be my daughter’s first Mother’s Day and her husband is deployed ,I plan on getting her a special piece of jewelry from the baby. This necklace would be perfect!

These are adorable! I’m having my second daughter in May. This would be perfect for a “push present” and Mother’s day gift!
My idea for mother’s day is to go to the museum and aquarium in town, and then go out for dinner.
Hopefully my husband will get me something nice too!

I like to give my mother something personal. We are close. We shop together and maybe she’ll say that she like something, but won’t get it for hersef, I’ll go back and get it. My daughter always gives her hand-picked flowers, which my mother adores. My mother-in-law loves anything chocolate, so we go to our chocolate store and get her pound of her favorites.
I follow you on twitter, and I tweeted your message!
I think helping a parent with a project or a personalized gift is at the top of my list. 🙂

I always give my mom a potted plant every year, so she can enjoy every year. She has at least three Easter lillies that come up every year in her garden!
I’m not sure what I’m getting my mom for Mother’s Day yet. She usually wants something gardening related. Her 3rd grandbaby is due May 15th, so that may be my present. 😉

One idea I had was write your Mom a note and tell her what she means to you.

Last year, I made a flowerpot bouquet and each flower was a picture of the grandkids.

My mother in law always LOVES photos of the kids! Sadly, I haven’t given photos since my youngest had his new born pics and he is getting ready to turn 1, so I definitely be updating those!

my favorite mother’s day gift from my husband and kids was two huge blue hydrangea plants to plant in our backyard–just like the ones we used for my bridesmaids in our wedding. since they bloom around mother’s day each year it’s a fantastic gift that i receive again and again, year after year.
Handprints are always a hit for any mom!
get flowers or a plant that will last all summer long.
My mom lives in St. Louis, and I live in Detroit. There are often flights between the two cities for $49 each way. I am using my swagbucks that I have been saving to get her 2 Soutwest Airlines giftcards to pay for a flight for her to come see her only two grandbabies!

I am planning to get my mother and MIL a necklace that was made by orphans in Africa. All money for necklaces goes to help said orphanage.
My mom LOVES fudge we have tried for years and neither of us can make it so that it will harden (but we end up with yummy fudge sauce) I’ve got a new “fail proof ” recipe so I’m gonna try to make it for her
if it works I’m making a ton – if not I’ll give her the “sauce” and we’ll have a good laugh
I love the “Simply Adored” and the “Simply Mixed Metal” styles!!
I also follow Faithful Provisions on FB and posted the link.
A facial is on my gift list for my mom, and I hope to receive one also! I picked up the one on Groupon for Valentine’s Day from Cosmetic Market. She loved it. Now I am keeping an eye on the daily deals to find another one!
Would love to give some jewelrey to my sister for Mother’s Day! She just had twin girls! 🙂
We’re big on anything photo related around here.

I have not thought much about Mother’s Day yet this year. I like to do something special for my mom and mom-in-love besides giving them a gift. I try to pick something that will make their day easier or better – like cooking and cleaning up for them or relieving them of some other “duty.”
I am a subscriber through my Blogger dashboard.
My mother’s day gift idea’s- for my Mom, since she lives so far away, I order her flowers and have them delivered to her, she was been a widow for over 25 yrs. so, if it was me, I know I would LOVE to get flowers once and a while. For my oldest daughter who is expecting her first daughter in May- I think I will do her one of those free photo books from Hotprints…or whatever that site is called. And for myself..well listen up kiddo’s I would LOVE this necklace!!!
I always think a pedicure is nice because it is a luxury we don’t want to spend the money on usually.
Oooh! I would be so excited to receive this! This year for my mother-in-law all the “kids” are giving a charm bracelet and charm to represent each grandchild. For my mother I have been looking at these type of necklaces, and then we always send a card with a new picture of the family they haven’t seen yet.
After checking out the simply stated Etsy store, I am in love with it! I will be ordering these for my mom and mother in law for Mother’s day!
I receive you newsletter, and I told my FPU class about your website.
I made a DVD full of pictures of my kids and my husband and I for my mother in law. All set to some really great songs. She loved it!

I usually give my mom a hanging basket for her porch.
Love this idea! Yikes! I need to start working on Mother’s Day ideas!
I haven’t figured out Mother’s Day yet.
I like to give my mom time for mother’s day. This looks like a breakfast date together or coffee together.
I have thought about umbrellas with the grandkids pics on them and maybe a photo puzzle of one of my boys that my grandmother requested. She bought my first child an old Buster Brown horse for his first birthday and I had his pic. made into a puzzle for Christmas one year b/c she loves to work them. So, my 2nd born needs his pic. puzzle up and framed. :0)
I usually give my mom something personal like pictures of my children (her grandkids) in a frame or some kind of photo gift. I actually thought about getting her something like the necklace above. My friend has one and it is so pretty and sentimental
My mom always loves a gift card to Lowe’s or Home Depot so she can pick out some flowers to plant for the Spring!
I love the Simply Family circle necklace. We need to do some work around my mother’s house. I will probably clean out her flower beds for mother’s day & plant some flowers.
Thinking of something personalized with the grandkids on it. That’s something to remember..
I subscribe via email! Love it! Thanks!! 🙂
Every year we go to Olive Garden.
For mothers day this year, all of us siblings went in together and bought my mom a new camera to take pictures of all of her grandchildren. It is for her birthday and mothers day combined:)
My Mom always gets flowers in a teapot to add to her collection of teapots. These would also be a great idea for her.
… could someone send this site to my husband with a HUGE hint, he doesn’t get the subtle ones!! 🙂

I think a great idea for a mother’s day gift is a picnic lunch. We always love to go out to a park or picnic area and enjoy a picnic as a family. Can’t beat fried chicken, potato salad and sweet tea!
I love to give a small sapling with a gift card to a home improvement store to my friend who loves to garden.

This is only my 2nd year celebrating Mother’s Day as a mom…I love the Willow Tree statues so my husband has been getting me those that kind of coincide with the growth of our baby girl. I LOVE this necklace idea though and may have to throw some hints out!!
I have already bought my mom her Mother’s Day gift, a plane ticket to FL with me for a long weekend of R&R. I would still love to win!! Her Bday is soon too.

We’re giving my mom pictures of her grandson.
I usually get my mom, mother-in-law and grandmas hanging baskets. I always tie pretty ribbon on them to jazz it up. It’s such a simple gift and keeps on giving!
My mom is moving into a house this year with a stream in her backyard. So this year I’m giving her two benches that together turn into a picnic table. I’m making it myself from composite boards. She’ll enjoy it for years and won’t have any maintenance.
I am following Simply Stated on FB and reposted the message with the link. Also, my mom always loves perfume for Mother’s Day. It’s a classic gift.
Until now I didn’t have any ideas. I love these. If I don’t win then this is what I will be getting from my mom and myself.
For mother’s day I prefer to spend time with my mom, husband and kids. They are my favorite people & they are true blessings from God.
Now that you have mentioned the necklace, that would be nice too!

My mom loves receiving any personalized gift that incorporates a picture of her 2 grandsons. I’ve recycled this idea over and over again. 🙂
I think that this would be the perfect gift but if not I think getting my mom a pedicure for her and i to go get together is the right idea. Its a good time to relax and chit chat 🙂
I’m flying my mother-in-law to her oldest son’s house to meet her first grandbaby (he and his wife’s daughter!) I’d love to get her a necklace with the baby’s name on it.
I’m getting my Mom a ring that’s engraved with the names of her five grandchildren, and my name and the name of my brother and sister who are now deceased. Hopefully she’ll like it 🙂
I made luggage tags with the picture of my son and mom for my mother for Mother’s Day!!!
a full day to do whatever she wants is a great mom’s day present! Or a spa day with a good book to read between services.
2nd entry!
My sister and I used to make our mom breakfast in bed, do all the housework, and then give her a manicure for Mother’s Day. Now that we’re grown up and moved away, it’s a bit harder to do something as personal, unfortunately.
This year will be different than normal mothers days. We will be in Chicago for my BIL’s wedding. I haven’t even thought about gifts for my mom or DH’s SM or mom, and I have no idea of anything the kids can give me in Chicago….I need to think more on that.

I tend to buy my mom something personal for Mother’s Day….like jewelry. She loves Sterling Silver, so I can usually find her a really nice piece to add to her collection. Thanks! Tammy gordonfan@embarqmail.com

Flowers are always a favorite gift with our moms…
My Mom loves a new rose bush!
I love this necklace. I’ve already picked out the one I’ll get if I win!
I am thinking a photobook from Shutterfly or Snapfish would make a great mother’s day gift.
I am making a photo book & framed pictures of our trip to the Chattanooga aquarium that we did with my mom when she came to visit.
I made my mom a photo book from Shutterfly. They are so easy to make and beautiful enough for the coffee table. There are 4 children in my family-my husband and I are in CO, my sister lives in Spain doing missionary work (my parents manage to make it over there to see her about once a year), and my 2 brothers are in college in NC and TN. Needless to say, we haven’t had the entire family together in quite some time. I’m the picture queen in the family, so I compiled all the wonderful photos over the years and created a chronological photo book. I made sure to include as many pictures of my sister as I could find, since she is the one we all see the least.
I am having necklaces made for both of our moms with their kids and grandkids birth stone colors in it. We have a friend that makes colored glass jewelry so we can mix and match whatever colors, textures, shapes etc. But I LOVE these necklaces. Hinting at my hubby that this would make a great gift!
I love my kids’ handpainted art nicely framed to hang in thier playroom or another special spot in the house. They make the best artists!! 🙂
I AM GOING TO REPAINT A PLANT STAND AND GIVE HER A NEW PLANT TO GO WITH IT FROM MY HOUSE
I am hoping my husband drops me off at the pedicure place!! 🙂 As for my mom, hmmm…, I am giving her the book A Million Miles in a Thousand Years. 🙂
I follow you on FB!

I love to get and give homemade gifts for Mother’s day. It is much more personal and usually is a momento that will remind me or my mom/mil of my children at that exact moment in time.

As the mother of a newborn with two busy homeschooled boys, I’d love SLEEP for Mother’s Day!

I also love ordering photo gifts from Snapfish, Seehere, and sites like that- depending on who has the best deal.
I love this necklace! Last year we did the necklaces that have all the birthstones of the family members loose encased in a heart pendant. We have also made great photo gifts with all the grandchildren’s pictures for her as well!
Your necklace is adorable! The best mother’s day gift I have received (besides my daughters) was pajamas and a movie!
my favorite mothers day gift idea is a glass jar or vase filled with slips of paper with childhood memories, etc., written on them.
Thanks for the opportunity to win.
