My reader, Jen, shared her shopping trip at Aldi today.
“I was very surprised to see they are still selling their hams for $5 off! They didn’t have the smaller 7/8 lb ones like at Easter – all the ones I saw were 11 lb. I plan on cooking it for Mother’s Day on Sunday. They also had bags of sweet potatoes for $.50! They’re not big enough to bake, but are great for doing sweet potato slices or sweet potato fries.”

The sweet potatoes would be great just like they are, a little olive oil and some salt and pepper and roasted.
