I headed to Kroger yesterday afternoon with little man while our princess was at VBS. Wow, what a difference it is only taking one kiddo to the grocery store. Also, I learned a little trick. I load up my iTouch with kids games and stories, and he stays quiet and occupied while I shop. Love it.
Okay, so back to the shopping trip! I found a few really great unadvertised sale items that I didn’t expect to see at Kroger today AND I had coupons to match with them. The benefit of clipping your coupons and keeping them with you is you can use them on unexpected sale items.
We get a box full of veggies from our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture – we buy a share in an organic farm), so the only produce I need are fruits, that is why you aren’t seeing a lot of that in my recent purchases.
Since I get a lot of questions on how to eat healthy on a budget, I thought I’d show you that I have organic juice and coconut milk, toilet paper (a lot!) and laundry detergent all for 50% off, using the sales and coupons together. No, I didn’t have a lot of FREE items, but I saved over 50% by just shopping strategically. And my family will use every bit of what I purchased.
Here is what I got:
Checkout all this weeks Kroger Deals HERE.
[2] Quilted Northern — $3.99/ea (used two $2 Kroger eCoupons) better price than Publix this week
So Delicious Coconut Milk, half gallon — $1.50
[3] All Detergent — $1.50 each
[2] Kroger Snack Bags
[2] Knudsen’s Organic Juice — $2.49/ea (used $.75/1 Knudsen’s printable coupon)
[2] Santa Cruz Organic Lemonade — $.25/ea (used $1/1 Santa Cruz printable coupon)
Cantaloupe – $1.65
POM Juice (free coupon)
Total $29.64
Total Savings: $31.82 (54%)
All I see is a Santa Cruz coupon $0.75/1 with minimum purchase of $1.99. Is the $1/1 coupon gone or am I looking in the wrong place??
How do you use 2 Kroger e-Qs? Did you do separate transactions?
actually you could load 2 e-coupons because they are dated differently. Dunno how it worked but I was able to load 2 of them from the Kroger website.
I did too Sheryl! They were diff coupons with diff dates. Yeah!
