The Walgreen’s in Spring Hill will not accept both a manufacturer and RR $$ from previous weeks on the same item. You can only use one coupon per item. You cannot use more coupons than the # of items you checkout. I don’t know if this is a new rule… it sucks. Now I’m stuck with RR$$ that will expire this week so not a good deal after all. I’m done shopping at Walgreen’s.

You always need to have the same # of coupons as items when you are checking out. The cheapest way to do this is to buy a “filler” item, so you can use your RR on another item.

For example, if you’re buying an item & there’s a coupon matched up with it, buy a small “filler” item (around $.10-.20) to be able to use your RR. RR are considered a “coupon”, so if you have 2 “coupons” you want to use, you will need to have 2 items in your cart. Your transaction would look like this:

      Buy:
      Item on sale
      Filler Item
      Use:
      Coupon for item on sale
      RR
      Pay: Balance due.

Hope that helps! You can find more information on my Walgreens store policy page:

Thanks for the info! I never see any “filler items” for less than 99 cents! What are some examples?
