Several major grocery store chains including Publix, Winn-Dixie, and Kroger, have recalled some of their ground beef packages because of the possibility of contamination with E. coli bacteria. These recalls are mainly in the southeastern U.S., stemming from problems at the National Beef Packaging Co. of Dodge City, Kansas.
