Read-Build-Write-Mats

I love these terrific new Read, Build, and Write Mats from my friend Jolanthe at Homeschool Creations. Just print the mats on cardstock, laminate them, and then you print out the themed pack to go with it. Here’s how the mats work:

Read – Place one of the cards in the top box and read the word together.

Build – Use letter tiles or magnets to build the word in the second box. (I like using the letter tiles from our Scrabble game or Upwords game.)

Write – Finally, practice writing the word in the bottom box.

Actually, that a great system of education, that can be applied to children from the young age. With those three simple stages, kid can not only see the visual representation by reading and building, but also memorize it through writing process. Not a secred that card system is also has a very wide use in kindergardens and pre-schools.
