Christmas Greetings Verses
For a longer message, these Christmas greetings verses are short little poems that are traditional, reflecting the hope and love of the Christmas season.
*These are also great verses to have the kids memorize and recite at nursing homes!!
What can I give Him,
Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd
I would bring a lamb.
If I were a Wise Man
I would do my part.
Yet what can I give Him?
I give Him my heart.
~Christina Rossetti
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
God grant you the light in Christmas, which is faith;
The warmth of Christmas, which is love;
The radiance of Christmas, which is purity;
The righteousness of Christmas, which is justice;
The belief in Christmas, which is truth;
The all of Christmas, which is Christ.
~Wilda English
So remember while December
Brings the only Christmas Day,
In the year let there be Christmas
In the things you do and say;
Wouldn’t life be worth the living,
Wouldn’t dreams be coming true,
If we kept the Christmas spirit
All the whole year through?
~Unknown
A little child,
A shining star,
A stable rude,
The door ajar.
Yet in that place
So crude, forlorn,
The Hope of all
The world was born.
~Anonymous
Christmas Verses for Cards
My favorite thing to include are Christmas Verses for cards that are straight from Scripture. The ones below are all linked to the Christmas story, including prophecy about Christ’s birth from the book of Isaiah.
“For a child is born to us,
A son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
“The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).” (Isaiah 7:14)
“And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.” (Luke 2:6-7)
“Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you Good News that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize Him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:10b-12)
“In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together;
The leopard will lie down with the baby goat.
The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion,
And a little Child will lead them all.” (Isaiah 11:6)
“And she will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
“And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the Child with His mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:9b-11)
And she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:7 NIV)

Often Christian business owners want to share their faith with their customers by sending a business Christmas card. Messages that share your faith can include the ones below.
Christmas gift suggestions:
To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.
~Oren Arnold
O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie;
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by.
~Phillips Brooks
“Christmas is a state of mind. It is found throughout the year whenever faith overcomes doubt, hope conquers despair, and love triumphs over hate.” ~Ronald Reagan
“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.” ~Calvin Coolidge
