Join Me in Reading “The Power of a Praying” Series

the-power-of-a-praying-wifeI have told you before how much I love Stormie Omartian’s “The Power of a Praying Wife” book. I typically read the prayers each morning during my quiet time. I pick the day I am on and do that chapter number since there are thirty chapters to pray. I love her books, they offer me specific areas of prayer, which most times I would not think to pray over. Now, I don’t read each chapter each morning, (I read those already!) I skip to the prayer at the back of each chapter and read it OUT LOUD. I really feel that audible prayers are key, meaning powerful. Not being legalistic here, but the power of the spoken Word is amazing and very moving.

Since tomorrow is the start of a new month, why don’t you join me in reading the prayers each morning? There are quite a few different options to choose from in her “The Power of a Praying…” series. Each morning I will be doing a post on Facebook, so feel free to join me there and talk about what God is revealing to you in your prayer time.

Some of my favorite books by Stormie:

  • The Power of a Praying Woman
  • The Power of a Praying Parent
  • The Power of a Praying Husband
  • The Power of a Praying Through the Bible

Have you read any of Stormie’s books? What are your favorite morning devotional book?

I read “The Power of a Praying Wife” a few years ago but I didn’t stick with doing the prayers. I wanted a condensed way to do the prayers for my husband and kids. I found this: http://www.ticoandtina.com/power-of-prayer-2/
