5 Mother’s Day Bible Verses to Bless Your Mother

The art of the blessing is a unique part of our Judeo-Christian heritage. When we speak God’s Word over someone, or when we write special inspirational verses down for someone to read, it has power. God’s Word tells us Who He is, but it also tells us who we are. Line by line, we read of His love and His deep affection for us in Bible verses. Mothers need to hear that special encouragement and motivation that can only be found in Bible quotes. Here are some great Bible verses for Mother’s Day to bless your mom.

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

From a husband to wife: Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me. (Ruth 1:16b)

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them. If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.  (Deuteronomy 28:11-13)

The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:7-8)
