Kroger Deals: September 13-19

(There is a print link embedded in this post.)

Kroger has their Big Savings Offer going on right now, so there are some great matchups below.  Be sure to note that the item prices already reflect the $.50/off per item price. Like last week, this is another good week for meat stockpiling, especially on pork butt roast and ground chuck.  This is the season for the meat discounts, so you might want to think about upping your budget by a few dollars to get your freezer stocked up for the winter!

If you do any baking around the holidays, you need to stock-up on the butter and flour deals below, those are the lowest prices I ever see.  Not to mention the great organic carrot deal, you can dice these, flash freeze and use for soups and casseroles in the winter.

So, what deals did you find at Kroger this week? Be sure to leave your finds in the comments.

I am so new to this and am very confused. At the top of the page you said , “Be sure to note that the item prices already reflect the $.50/off per item price. ” Where does this come from? Thanks, in advance.

Becky, the items under that statement are part of the Buy 10 get $5 off at checkout. That averages about $.50/item, so I already discounted the item price by $.50.

    Kel,
Where and how do you store flour when you stock up….in order to prevent bugs, etc? Also, how long will it stay fresh?

Jennifer, I store my flour in my outside freezer. I have lots of room there, so I find it best to keep it there! Or, an outdoor fridge if you have it. Just in a cool place.

Bunny Bread on sale for $1 this week. There are $.25/1 Q in the 8/2 SS (the one with the Ken’s Dressing on the front). This would make for $.50 per loaf!

Store Flour: I have inexpensive glass containers with plastic screw on lids from Dollar General or Walmart like 1.25 or 1.50 each. I store my flour, sugar, and the kids cereal in them. For me the flour won’t last long, as the holiday cooking approaches. Also I reuse my big holiday popcorn tins for storing some items too.

My Kroger had the Comforts baby diapers 56 pack size 1 on sale for $3.49. I used the $3 off coupon from the Kroger website and got diapers for $0.49. WooHoo! Great shower present.

Do Kroger’s automatically double coupons or do you have to ask? How does doubling work?

    Reply
    • Kelly September 15, 2009 at 9:08 am

Caitland, you must have a Kroger Plus Card for your coupons to double. After they scan your card, they scan your items, and total it. Then hand coupons to clerk. Coupons $.50 and under will AUTOMATICALLY double at the register, you don’t have to ask or anything!

    Hi Kelly,
Are there limits to how many coupons you can triple @ Kroger?

When you buy the 10 items to get the $5 at checkout, will that work for an additional 10 items or just the one grouping?

    • Kelly September 16, 2009 at 4:41 pm

Cami, these deals usually allow 3 per transaction. Just ask at customer service to be sure.

The Kroger in Belle Meade is tripling! The sign says they’ll triple up to 20 coupons per transaction.
