Here is a list of January free or very cheap events put together by my friend Christina. (Thanks so much Christina!)

:: $1 admission to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens all month long (Thanks Ms. Cheap!)

:: Every Friday 10am- Borders books, Children’s storytime activities at 330 Franklin Rd (Brentwood) and 545 Cool Springs Blvd (Franklin) Free!

:: Every Monday 11am- Barnes & Noble Storytime at 1701 Mallory Lane (12th- Toot and Puddle, 19th- Madeline will be visiting, 26th- Duck and Cover) Free!

January 7th: (Wednesday), 9:30 am- Conductor Jack live musical performance at Whole Foods, 1735 Galleria Blvd. Free!

January 22nd: (Thursday) Creation Station at Discovery Center at Murfree Spring (502 E. Broad St. Murfreesboro, 890-2300) Create a wacky waterless aquarium from 2 – 4pm. This unique children’s center is worth the drive. $5 admission

January 23/24 & 30/31: 10:30am and 11:30 am. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland at the Children’s Theater at the Main Library downtown Nashville (615 Church St., 862-5800). This interactive show features live performers as well as shadow and hand puppets. Free!

January 31st: (Saturday) 7:30-9:30pm. Adventure Science Center Star Party at Warner Park (7311 Hwy 100, 401-5077) to observe the full moon, orion nebual and pleiades. Free!

January 31st: (Saturday) 1pm. Musical Petting Zoo at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (222 Fifth Ave, 416-2001). Children of all ages can enjoy hands-on introductions to a variety of instruments like banjos, dulcimers, mandolins, fiddles and more. Free!
