YAY, Kelly!!! Thank you SO much for doing this! I was SO hoping that you would after your post about preparing dried beans. 🙂 I’m ALWAYS looking for more meatless meals (tried another one tonight that was a hit!). I’ll gather our favorites and post them here! Hoping that lots of others will share their favorites. 🙂
My family loves red beans and sausage over cornbread.
I have a 5 and 10 year old.
I soak the beans overnight and then put them in the crockpot in the morning with diced onion and regular or turkey smoked sausage. I have made it with and without seasoning. The last time I made it I used Emeril’s Original Essence seasoning. Cook it all day on low and then serve over cornbread.
