We will be issuing refunds to our monthly subscribers based on the number of tickets in their account which have not been used and also the subscription they were signed up for. In order to receive a refund please tell them to contact us via live chat or support@weeklycinema.mojohelpdesk.com and we will be able to process this request in an efficient manner. Also it is not necessary to request a charge back to their [credit card] account as we will be issuing refunds to the customers.
Our refunds will also come quicker than if a user were to request a charge back.
==================
I have some bad news for those of you who purchased the Weekly Cinema Groupons. Apparently Weekly Cinema is in financial difficulties and will not be honoring the Groupons you purchased. Here is a what their website states:
Thank you for visiting Weekly Cinema.
The future of Weekly Cinema is under review. While this review is being performed, we are not able to process or redeem movie ticket coupons. We are working with our deal site partners to achieve a refund for the unused movie tickets and promo codes in your Weekly Cinema account in an amount of up to the price paid for each of the unused movie ticket coupons.
A Hotline phone number to provide additional information about Weekly Cinema is being set up. Please provide your Weekly Cinema email in the box below if you would like us to email you when an update is available. Otherwise, check the site later today for further updates.
What Groupon Says
I want to make it clear that this is NOT a Groupon issue. It looks Groupon will even be reimbursing those of you who have these vouchers. Groupon has whats called “The Groupon Promise.” Stating, “Nothing is more important to us than treating our customers well. If you ever feel like Groupon let you down, give us a call and we’ll return your purchase – simple as that.” Our customer service is top notch and they would be happy to help your readers out. They can be reached at support@groupon.com or (877) 788-7858 .
Thanks for researching this Shannon!
Oh man…I did 2 of those, and i’m glad I already redeemed my tickets. The ones I haven’t used yet better work at least! I had to jump through some hoops on that last one. That is too bad for Weekly Cinema.
Just a note – from what I’ve read online, the codes you’ve already redeemed but have not used yet will no longer work. When you try to use them on fandango, they show up as expired.
I already used the codes on fandango and printed the tickets, so I’m thinking I’ll be ok since they’re now through Fandango, not WC.
This is so disheartening. I purchased 4 of these for a gift and now I don’t have income to replace that $$ spent as lost my job & diagnosed with serious illness. I’m ready to quit buying any promo online. Three of the 5 restaraunt.com gc’s I purchased in the past 4 months have gone out of business so that’s a loss too. They take our money and run!
Living Social is refunding and giving my account 5 bucks. I have not heard back from Tippr yet.
