I think that a good price list is a key part of your savings strategy. In fact, I would say it is critical. Unless you have a razor-sharp memory and you know by heart the lowest price of everything you buy at the store, it helps to have a list of the lowest prices all in one place. When you do, you know when a sale is really a sale. You know what the price should be before you stock up. And you know if you need to wait to purchase something rather than just relying on that brightly colored sticker to tell you if something is at its lowest possible price. There are three ways to develop your own price list.
Use the Free Provisions Price List PDF
The free Provisions Price List PDF is a printable listing of the best prices on your every day grocery purchases. Here’s how it works: Let’s say your grocery store has boneless chicken breasts advertised for $2.29 per pound. That is the sale price. A quick look at the price list tells you that the best price for boneless chicken breasts is actually $1.99 per pound. This lets you know when an item is really on sale at its rock-bottom price. Use the Free Provisions Price List App
This list is also available in the convenience of a smartphone app. It’s with you wherever you are–wherever you need to check to see what the lowest price should be on everyday items. Get the app HERE.
