Not that I don’t have plenty of sweet potatoes after Aldi had the sale a few weeks ago with the $.99 bags of sweet potatoes, but this week they are on sale for only $.69 for a 3-lb bag!.  If you snag some be sure to try one of the these great recipes I did on my Freezer Baking Day a few weeks ago here, here or here.

Aldi will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve and be closed on Christmas Day.

Things to know…

  1. You must have a quarter to get a shopping cart;  you get it back when you return the cart.
  2. Payment options are only debit cards or cash.
  3. You bag your own groceries and bring your own bags, they have bags for 5¢ at the register.
  4. Go here for a list of my favorite everyday Aldi low prices.

==========================

Sweet Potatoes, 3-lb bag — $.69
Celery — $.69 per pack
Broccoli, 16 oz — $.99
Pineapple — $.99

Butterball Turkey — $.99/lb
Friendly Farms – Fit & Active Whipped Topping, 8 oz — $.85
L-oven Fresh White Bread, 20 oz — $.79

    Hey Kelly, how do you warm up the frozen sweet potato fries?

      I just cook them like I would frozen french fries. I put them on a baking sheet at about 450 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.

    Kelly – another ? about the sweet potato fries?..Can I just cut them and freeze them or should I cook them first and then freeze them? I am trying to use Xmas break to STOCK the freezer again. I will be attending NSCC next semester and have to drive to Nville 3 times a week from Cville. Trying to get dinners ready so my sitter will have easy nights and I can also have easy evenings on the nights I don’t drive. Am checking your site for easy double duty freeze ahead meals! Thanks for all you do!
