We have been on an amazing journey this year. There have been so many firsts for us, in adopting our sweet Ladd. Many friends and family have been following along with us on this journey of adoption; from helping us bring him home through fundraising to encouraging us daily. Most couldn’t be there with us for every step along the way and we would have loved to share these moments live with them.
But those first few moments with him were so incredibly sweet!
Since Ladd was born almost three weeks before we expected, our trip out of state to bring him home was an absolute whirlwind — but it was a very good whirlwind! We left our older two children with friends and family while we flew out to pick him up.
But then a few days later, we couldn’t stand it anymore and flew the kids out to spend the rest of our stay!
It would have been great to have the technology to to capture our first moments live with Ladd and share it with our closest friends and family. I would never have imagined the sweetness that came from those first few moments of these new siblings. It was beyond precious!
