I made my dad a picture of the two of us and my daughter–mod lodged it to a tile with ribbon and putting it on a stand.
The only thing I can give my dad for father’s day is to walk in the Truth. He is in Heaven with Jesus and I like to think about how much this would please him. As for journaling, it is medication for my soul.

I’m thinking of getting my father a fishing trip for fathers day.

I get my dad the same thing every year. It is kind of boring but he asks for it every year. I get him razor blades and shaving cream. He and mom are seinors on a fixed income and he likes a particular brand of blades that is quite expensive. I buy a large amount every year to keep him stocked up.
I love to journal as it gives me perspective of “how I was really feeling” during some of lifes moments.

I find that writing things down is very effective. I usually write lists for things I want to get done and also budgeting. I just started a food and exercise journal but have been slacking on it.

When I think of Father’s Day, I think of my husband and what I will do for him for Father’s Day. Even though I grew up with a dad, he was only physically present, and my relationship is not as strong with him as I would like. My husband is an intelligent, interested and involved man of God and is an awesome father. I don’t know what I will be getting my father for Father’s Day yet, but I am planning on getting my husband an ipod for the gym and a framed copy of The Resolution from the movie Courageous…..and of course, hopefully, a relaxing day spent together as a family
