Do you need some”First Father’s Day” gift ideas? I thought you might, so I turned to the Faithful Provisions Facebook community to get some creative solutions for you, and as usual, they had lots of great ideas for presents for his first Dad’s day!
First Dad’s Day Gifts
First Dad’s Day gifts ideas would be the kind of unique Father’s Day presents that help him to know how valuable he is in his baby’s life.
Write a letter from baby. Pen a note to Dad thanking him (from the baby) for all the things he does. “Thanks, Daddy, for getting up with me on the weekends so Mom can sleep. Thanks for dancing with me every night when you get home. Thank you for letting me fall asleep with you in your chair…”
Daddy Fashions. Reader Sabrina W. suggested using iron-on transfers on onesies so that the baby can “wear” a Father’s Day greeting. I loved this idea. Check your JoAnn’s or Michaels for iron-ons.
Kids’ Books. My reader Blessed suggested asking your husband’s parents what some of his favorite books were when he was a child. Then, purchase a few and give him to read to your baby. Another sweet idea would be to see if his mom kept any of his books. Re-give them to him now, with an old photo of him and his dad or mom reading to him. Some favorites:
- Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
- Corduroy by Don Freeman
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

Photo Gifts for Dad
Photo gifts for Dad’s first Father’s Day were recommended by several of my readers. Reader Crystal B. said that after her first son was born, she made a photo scrapbook with pictures of Dad and his new baby. Other readers suggested gifts like photo keychains, magnets, mugs, coasters, and mousepads. ind the most current photo deals HERE.
