Back-To-School Deals
1. Rebate Programs – Lots of stores including Staples and CVS are running great deals right now with rebates on items that make them FREE.
**Be sure to check out the Kelloggs $10 rebate here.
2. Utilize Coupons – Use coupons in conjunction with sale items, then send in for your rebates! Examples of these would be: $5 off $20 purchase coupon at Staples this week, Joann’s and Michael’s 50% off coupons in the paper (reg. only 40% off!), and weekly manufacturer coupon inserts and printables.
3. Tennessee’s Sales Tax Holiday Weekend: August 7-9, 2009
** Download a printable list of tax exempt items here.
Applies to:
- Clothing under $100
- School supplies under $100
- Computers under $1500
4. “Back-To-School” Clearance Sales – Usually a week or two after school starts back major stores like Walmart, Kmart, Target, Old Navy and others will mark down items 75% or more on overages of school supplies, summer clothing stock, and toys – this is to make room for new items. In fact, Kmart has already started their 75% off toy clearance, it started last weekend.

Target now does price matching. You have to bring in the full ad and match with EXACT item. This started yesterday and I was the first one to do it at the Spring Hill Store. It saved me from going to walmart. YEAH
Where did you find the Michael’s 50% off coupon? Mine is only 40% … but JoAnn is 50%. Wondering if I missed one. LOVE the craft store coupons!
It was in a separate Michael’s flier in the paper, it was for the reopening of the Thompson Lane store.
