I found these valentines on the kitchen table this week. Ainsley wrote this little poem to give to friends and family for Valentine’s Day: Like an eraser wipes away our mistakes, remember Jesus wipes away our sins.
She received a bag of heart-shaped erasers from her favorite preschool teacher, Ms. Samia. (She taped the eraser up at the top.) And much to my surprise, this is what she did with them, making valentines for everyone she loves. I couldn’t believe that she, at six years old, could grasp the concept of forgiveness and salvation like this. This is the Gospel in a nutshell.
For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Happy Valentine’s Day from the Lover of your soul!
