Well I usually go to the BelleMeade location, but today I went to the Brentwood store because I was in the area. They would not let me use my coupons that were $1/2 items on the BOGO deals. They said that you have to purchase 3 items to use them, since your second item rings up free. I told them I did not think that made any sense, and that their coupon policy does not say that, and that they had always let me in the past, but they still did not honor them. I understand that they only let you use one per deal, and not two the way that Publix does, but they wouldn’t even let me do that. Anyways, just frustrated and needed to vent! Makes me appreciate Publix even more!
Ihave had the worst time couponing at Harris Teeter. The one one off White Bridge especially. You’d think they’d appreciate the extra money they make off each Q! I’ve only had one really great transaction with a cashier. But it was foiled by an extremely rude cashier who commented about my overage refund, from HER Register! She said “Your not supposed to give her that money. Its not Hers, you should put it back in your drawer or keep it.”. Needless to say, I was on my cell phone in 10 seconds flat with the DM. If non-couponers only knew how hard it is collect, plan and execute a lower grocery bill, they’d show a little more respect!
Btw, Hi everyone! Today is my 11 year Wedding Anniversary! We have a 2yr old DS and a 9yr old DD. Been a Nashville/Belle Meade Resident for 6months.
I also went to the Brentwood store and the cashier seemed hesitant to let me use $1/2 of the BOGO items, but he scanned it and there was no problems…the register did not call for an override. Although I was allowed to use mine, my friend also tried to use a $1/2 coupon on the BOGO deals and she was not allowed! They gave her the same explanation as the post above…you have to buy 3 because one of the items is considered free. The coupon policy says this: “We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get One Free items.” This makes me think customers should be ALLOWED to use $1/2 coupons for BOGO items because it is only one coupon. Am I not reading this correctly? This doesnt seem fair they would let some customers use their coupons while others are denied.
Although my recent experience with Harris Teeter wasn’t the greatest, I will say that I did manage to get some free cereal and cheap contact solution thanks to the double coupons!! 🙂
Um, has anyone else hit HT more than 2x within this week? Have you gone into HT, then ran into lets say. Kroger or Publix, only to notice the MAJOR price difference? I almost hugged a roll of Paper towels in Kroger, just because the price made sense! Lol
I was able to get free Waffes, Yogurt, Perdue chicken cuts, 9cent toothpaste and free gain liquid…all for a little over $3.00. I guess I just get exasperated at the process, But I think I;m developing an allergy to paying over .50 cent for ANYTHING….Could I be becoming a Qpon Snob?
