Just called to redeem my voucher from Saveology (a similar deal available earlier this week), and first of all it took about 10 minutes to get all of my information (my name and address). Then she tried to sell me a giftcard for $100 credit at numerous locations for only $4.95. When I asked what the catch was (it sounded too good to be true), she said there wasn’t one, but then 2 minutes later mentioned that I would be sent 3 magazines to review, which I could of course cancel, but if I didn’t it would be “just” $39.95 per magazine for the next year. They would have my credit card number since I would have given it to them to pay the $4.95, and I have a feelling that cancelling those magazines wouldn’t be made very convenient.
Just thought I would let everyone know what my experience was. When they asked for my phone number as well, I declined. I’m already getting way to many phone calls (political ads!) and don’t need timeshare companies to be calling me as well! : )
I’m sad that it is Valid for first-time buyers only!
