I discovered something the other day that I want to share with everyone: Bible Hashtags! There is actually a “standard” that has been developed for sharing Scriptures and verses via Twitter. Then, when you post them on Twitter, you can use the appropriate hashtag and you’ll know what other people are saying about that verse or passage. I think this would be a great tool to use when wanting to learn more about a particular chapter and/or verse in the Bible, to see what others are saying. You can also use these on Instagram, since hashtags work there too! I post a lot of verse pictures and can’t wait to try this out myself.
In light of this, starting today, I’ll be adding the Scripture reference on the Daily Verse (and through Easter, the Lent readings) in its hashtag form. As you can see in the image above, it is done like this:
hashtag + 3-letter abbreviation + chapter number
Then for a specific verse, you would add a period after the chapter number, followed by the verse number. Ready to give this a try?
