I took full advantage of the last day of the Kroger Mega event today. I was able to purchase $95 worth for $45. That included two pork tenderloins, a boston butt, and a few other items that weren’t included in the deal. I love it!
I had a blast yesterday! I spent about $25 and saved over $100. I stocked up on a lot of personal stuff –
reach toothbrushes (10 for $3.00)
secret deoderant (4 for $1.00)
dove shampoo and conditioner (2 for $2.00)
herbel essence shampoo/conditioner/gel/hairspray (6 total for $8.00)
large listerine (came with free small listerine) (2 for $2.00)
other good deals –
breyers ice cream (2 for $0.54)
hawaiian rolls ($0.75)
smart rozini pasta (6 for $1.80)
dole pineapple chunks (free)
reeses peanut butter cups (2 free plus $0.60 in overage)
plus other items that I didn’t have coupons for:
pizza
cream cheese
milk
and more!
Yeah Erika! It looks like you really did a good job at using your coupons well!!
Hi. I am a little confused on the eCoupons. It looks like you are saying that you get the discount from both Cellfire AND Shortcuts.com when only buying 1 item. I thought that either one or the other would give the discount, the hightest value coupon coming off your bill. The Huggies deal listed above shows both discounts coming off to get the final price of $4.27 during super doubles. I checked my receipt from last week at Kroger and only one or the other came off on each product that I bought, eventhough I had the coupon loaded from both sites. Should I be contacting the site to get my additional discount?
Liesl, you can ask at Cust Service. When I went through it only took off one too, but when I asked at Cust Service they gave me the amount back in cash. They said it should have come off too.
Thanks for the quick response, Kelly! I love your site. I just started couponing at the beginning of Aug. and have had a blast. I used to detest going to the grocery store. Now I can hardly wait each week.
Kelly,
The -$1/1 Bounty Paper Towels RP 8/23 says “Target coupon”. Does Kroger accept those now?
The Kroger at Nippers corner will not accept any competitors coupons. Is that their policy? I even spoke to a manager, and she acted like I was an idiot! 🙂
Suzanna –
That is the Kroger that I normally shop at, and they never have issues taking publix or food lion coupons, they will not take target coupons though.
FYI… the Publix “Raise Your Hand for Savings” coupons all start with a 9. They didn’t double. 🙁 Was anybody else able to double the Popsicles or Breyers Q?
my breyers didn’t double automatically – however I told the cashier that they didn’t double and at the end he manually inputted it.
Suzanna- I guess it depends what manager is on duty – they took my publix coupons the other day! i’m sorry it didn’t work fro you.
Did anyone else find the Jenny O Turkey Loins BOGOF? Wasn’t sure if that was in the circular or just a local store special (Green Hills Kroger) – I think they were two for $5.29 and then with my double coupons (I shopped Monday night) got both for around a dollar! 🙂 Even without the double coupons it is still a good deal through the weekend if anyone needs some turkey for cheap!
