I just wanted to give you a reminder that Kroger Triples will be going until Tuesday, however if you are taking advantage of the Mega deals, those will end Saturday. The new sale ad comes out on Sunday.
Be sure to check out my post here for all the Kroger triples matchups, I will be updating that page this weekend when I find new deals. It is under *UPDATES* at the bottom.
Still trying to decide if you are going? Let me tell you the savings I was able to snag.ย I got over $242 worth of groceries for $6.06!! It included lots of things we need, plus so many possibilities for donations!
Note: If you are in the middle TN area, the Franklin stores are also participating in the Triples promotion, yeah!!
can i come shooping with you next time? hehe. that is wonderful!!
I’m going tomorrow for sure. Maybe I should make a preliminary trip tonight just in case I have more than 20 coupons. ๐
Thanks Kelly for all you have taught me! I went last night and was able to get about $125 of groceries for $8! I can’t wait until I get up to your $242/$6! I’m getting better every month though and it is such a blessing to have 4 shopping bags full of GOOD stuff to donate! Thank you!
I had a few baby coupons from Gerber for .75/1, so I got rice cereal and sippy cups for around $.20 each!! It was great! I also had a Dole bag salad coupon worth .75/1 and found the managers special bags that only cost $.99. So, I made $1.25 on that deal. Also, got 4 boxes of the Beechnut baby cookies for FREE!
The young guy running the cash register asked me to write down your website because he wanted in on the action :0)
Some of the coupons printed from the internet say ‘do not double or triple.’ Do the stores ever double these or just the ones that don’t say that?
I know that the devil is in the details, however busy moms often do not have time for the ultra fine print. I got all excited about the triple coupons and stayed up until midnight last night getting it all together for Kroger shopping after work. I thought my total was a little too high but didn’t want to hold everyone up behind me. I got home and found that none of my coupons were doubled or tripled! I called and found that not all Krogers participate in this! My Kroger is in Cookeville which is just about 45 minutes down the road from Nashville. You might want to put the reminder in bold print next time that these promotions do not cover everywhere.
Was wonderfing the same this as the Amy above my posting. I called the Clarksville stores and they said they haven’t ever heard of this type of thing…Kroger Triples..Is there any way to see if our stores qualify for this deal? I tried searching it online but I didn’t see anything…
Our Kroger here in Paris, TN does not triple coupons either…………….. So you that get in on the deal be grateful. They double coupons to 50 cents……………But most of the ones I had today were do not double or triple.
Her original post about Kroger triples (linked above) did say that she was referring to those near a Harris Teeter…
“the Krogers that are near a Harris Teeter are tripling coupons $.99 and under this week!”
This is not on the Kroger site because it is only done locally to compete with nearby Harris Teeter stores. It is NOT a Kroger promotion that is done universally at all stores. If you do not have a Harris Teeter, you do not get Kroger triples. Sorry. ๐
Just got back. from Kroger on Franklin Road. Left a somewhat detailed post in the Chick Fil A article. Bottom line: saved about 60%, including some items that had no coupon at all.
I had more than 20 coupons (over 40 actually), so I got 20 coupons worth, checked out, and then went back and got the rest. Interestingly, the lady in front of me on my second round had substantially more than 20 coupons. I would say she had at least 50. Not a word was said. I didn’t care. I was very interested in watching her transaction. I noticed she got $220 down to $140. I should have asked her what her %saving was!
Incidentally, we were both in the 15-or-less aisle! I didn’t see the sign until all my stuff was up on the belt. A lady behind me with two items gave me a look !
As for tripling, ya, it gots to be a Kroger next to a Harris Teeter. I can pretty much count on the Franklin Road Kroger to participate, but I always check Kelly’s blog to make sure. I drive up from Columbia, which is a 30 minute drive, but well worth it.
Okay does anybody know when Kroger in Belle Meade restocks items? I know I’ve already heard from friends that the Kroger in Belle Meade is already out of some of the good deals and I don’t want to waste a trip if all the good stuff is gone!..but I don’t want to miss out on the mega event!!!!
James-you should go to Kroger on 31/Mack Hatcher. That is where I went last night, and they were trippling because the new Harris Teeter in Westhaven is open. ๐ Just wanted to save you some drive time. Have a great day!!
I’d love to know when Nippers Corner is restocking too b/c they were out of many of the items I was shopping for. I still got some great deals though.
I had a fabulous time yesterday. I shopped in separate 3 orders with the total before coupons being $259.23, Net OOP $118.23. That means I had $141.00 in coupons. I saved 54.39%. I was a little bummed because on my last order, I had over 20 coupons, so the ones over 20 only doubled ( .50 and under). So, I wasted my coupons OVER .50. I just had to add it up when I came home and I could have saved another $13.00 if I had split my last order into 2 orders!!!
It was still good, but I want it be even better in the future!!
Alison, thank you for the info. I will be back up that way on Tuesday and will check out that location !
I went to the Kroger on 96 in Franklin tonight. It was so nice and relaxed! I did 5 separate orders. I spent $29 and saved $232 woo hoo! Thanks for such a great site!
This may be a really stupid question – but I did my FIRST coupon outing yesterday and I am soooo confused and feel so inadequate. I did my preparation work using the tools from this website and others, when with a detailed shopping list and what I found most confusing was that when I looked at the receipt I was unable to really tell if my coupons were applied correctly and I wanted to look back to see how much I paid for certain items and wasn’t able to do that. Do you all also do the math before you go shopping? they rang all my groceries first and then I just handed over my stack of coupons. Hopefully my question makes sense.
Dana, I think the Kroger Triples with a Mega event is the most challenging scenario to do! If it makes you feel any better, I had some trouble making sure I was doing all the deals right.
But, I try to work out all the math on my grocery budget sheet before I go to the store, so my trip is fairly easy. I prefer to do the u-scan, because most Krogers let you scan your own coupons. This way I can do it slowly and see what is going on. It takes me longer, but it makes me less stressed and I can take my time.
If this doesn’t answer your question, feel free to post another and I’ll take another stab at it!
Kelly,
I have a lot of coupons now that say ‘do not double or triple’. Some stores seem to ignore it and others say they won’t double/triple. What should I expect when I go to a store?
Cathy – What I have found is that most stores will double / triple these, because it is a store discount, not one put extended by the manufacturer of the coupon. THe only store I know that doesn’t allow it to double/triple is Harris Teeter.
Generally, if the bar code starts with a 5 then it will automatically double/triple regardless of what it says on the coupon. If it begins with a 9 it will not double. I went to the Nippers Corner store last night & they had most of what I was looking for & were only out of a couple of things. I don’t know when they re-stock. That would be a good thing to know. My percentage wasn’t as good as I would have liked, but I’m still pretty pleased with all I got. I did mess up on the General Mills cereal deal. I paid about $35 & saved about $45. That includes 10# of ground beef. I’d like to go back tonight but I don’t know if I’ll have time. Kelly, thanks for all of your hard work.
