Do you have a Kroger store near you?  If you have one near a Harris Teeter, be sure to call and see if they are now offering triple coupons.

Here are the stores participating in the Middle TN area:

  • Brentwood

  • 2- Bellevue stores

Here are some rules to know:

  • All manufacturer coupons tripled $.99 and under
  • Limit of 20 coupons
  • Internet Coupons are accepted, no limit. (I confirmed this at the Brentwood store)

Does Kroger have the same rule as Harris Teeter about only 3 of the same coupon? And do you know how long they will be tripling? Thanks Kelly!! You rock!! 🙂

They don’t have a limit as far as I know, they said they accepted internet coupons, no restrictions! I think they are tripling until June 2nd, but not sure! Let me know if you find out.

Are you going to do any match-ups for Kroger?

Yay, thank you! I emailed Kroger to ask, but I never got a response. Last time they did this, they had a 20 coupons per transaction limit, but not a limit on transactions per day. Does that make sense. Are they tripling right now, or waiting until next week, like last time?

Are there signs posted in the stores that are participating? Or do you just have to ask?

I live near the Kroger on Nolensville near Concord. Is that the Brentwood Store?

This is my first time visiting your blog, it looks great.

Will kroger in Ohio be doing this?

      Kendra,
It seems that in TN only the Kroger’s that are near a Harris Teeter are doing the triples. If you have a Harris Teeter, check the nearby Kroger, you might be in luck!!

Yes, they are tripling right now… went for my first few runs tonight! Items I got for free:

    No Yolks noodles
French’s 20 oz (the BIG one!) yellow mustard
French’s spicy brown and honey mustards
    Purell 2 oz hand sanitizer
    McCormick grill mates
    Kraft BBQ
    Dial hand soap

    Cheap items:
    .25 Huggies wipes (w/ .75 Q)
    .09 French’s worcestershire sauce (the big bottle) (.50 Q)
    .19 Betty Crocker frostings (.50 Q)
    .19 Texas Toast croutons (.50 Q)

I know a friend of mine also got some Herbal Essences hair products for free… I think she used a .50 Q but I didn’t have that one on hand tonight. Looking forward to hearing what everyone finds! I enjoy triples so much more at Kroger!!

I went to Kroger in Brentwood last night and they said they were only tripling coupons up to 50 cents, not 99 cents… my coupons that were 55 cents did not triple, but doubled.

The Kroger on Old Hickory (Nippers corner) and the one on Franklin Road are both doing it. The person at the register checked every single coupon to make sure that it didn’t say “do not double” it took a little longer.

    Jen,
I just called and they ARE tripling coupons $.99 and under. Anything over 20 coupons is $.50 and under doubled. Krogers does not double $.55 and over, only $.50 and under, just wanted to clarify that for everyone.

Also, be sure you are using your Kroger Plus Card to get the tripling.

The store at Nippers Corner was doubling and tripling and allowing multiple transactions. I did 6 transactions. They even put through coupons that beeped and had the manager come through and override. There were lots of items that were marked down like the Mentos gum at the register. Two of my receipts totalled over $50 and they gave me cash back because of overages. With an hours worth of work the night before, I got $400 original price items for $63 including tax (with two kids in tow 🙂 Check for the 100 calorie candy packs, salad fixins, and the Mentos gum–all were marked down to less than $2 which put the $.75 tripling over the price. Jello packs, Ragu, and yogurt were also nearly free or better. Very helpful customer service at the store! Very well stocked too especially in the almost free or free Suave and Sure deodorants.

I also went to Nippers Corner tonight because I didn’t think I could get there by the 30th and the cashier said they are tripling until June 2nd! I didn’t realize you could do multiple transactions. I’ll have to do that next time because I drive 30 minutes each way! I saved almost $40 with coupons alone though!

Hey, all! I totally need that chips ahoy snack pack coupon and don’t see it in the 5/17 insert. I know I have not used it! Did anyone else not find this one? I need snacks for baseball tomorrow night for 12 boys! Any ideas for freebies?

A summary of three transactions tonight (no overages given on triple coupons):
    11 Flipz Pretzels $1.50 $.50 MFQ triple
7 Dial Hand Soap $1.00 $.35 MFQ triple
3 Scotch Tape $2.09 $ .75 MFQ triple (Publix flyer)**
    2 Solo Cups $2.50 $ .75 MFQ triple
    2 Ragu Sauce $1.66 $ .60 MFQ triple**
    6 Huggies Wipes $2.50 $ .75 MFQ triple + $3 add’l (Huggies special)
7 Mentos Gum $1.11 $.55 MFQ triple (Spearmint on clearance)
    11 Bumble Bee $1.25 $ .55 MFQ triple (pouches)
    3 Eggo Waffles $1.96 $ .75 MFQ triple
    1 Palmolive F&C $2.39 $ .75 MFQ triple
    1 Bertolli Sauce $3.79** $ .75 MFQ triple
1 Dentastix $4.39 $2.50 MFQ ** Shortcuts did not come off**
    12 Vitamin H2O $1.00 $ .50 MFQ doubles and B1G1Fs

    Total of all transactions: $ .53 + $4.09 tax = $4.62 (was $111 before MFQs)

**The Publix MFQ for the Scotch tape works on the ones that have the plastic dispenser, but not on the “refill rolls.” The $ .60/1 Ragu MFQ needed cashier override — that coupon notes only on Margherita or Sweet Tomato Basil flavors — haven’t found them — tried it on the Tomato & Basil flavor, but it beeped. The Bertolli rang up $3.79, but there was an old shelf tag with last week’s $2.49 sale price, so they gave me money back ($4.08 incl tax) on that because of the Scan-Check policy, giving an OOP of $ .54. I submitted a Shortcuts dispute on the Dentastix, so once that clears that would really get me a net OOP of $1.96 (credit).

Kroger in Brentwood – their computers messed up on Wednesday night and they didn’t triple anything over $.75. I called and they said to bring the receipt in and they’d reimburse it (for me that will be about $14) – so check your receipt carefully if you shopped there this Wednesday!

We went to the Kroger on Franklin Road (near 100 Oaks) – they tripled up to 99 – limit of 20 coupons. We did well – $62 worth of groceries @ Kroger became $22.72 after triple coupons – would have been $11.37 except that we bought 5 items that didn’t have a coupon but were on sale or closeout.

I did noticed that their computers are savvy to what you buy – no overages – I bought French’s Mustard $1.49 so the $.75 off coupon scanned at $.75 and the secondary scan was for $.74. But I’m not complaining.

Went to Brentwood Kroger today (Friday). They didn’t triple anything over $.50 automatically. It all had to be done manually (.60, .75, etc.), so watch them closely. I did great at Kroger and Harris Teeter with the triples. FUN. FUN!

All this tripling is overwhelming to me. How do you all have time to gather all the coupons, find the great deals, hit the stores multiples times, & only spend a very small amount of money?

Well, it has taken a lot of practice and it is still a bit of work, but usually really worth it for me. I try to only get what I need, and not stock up on a lot of things that are just “FREE”. The longer I have been doing this, the quicker I can spot coupons that I know are a good deal tripled, because (through experience) I know the typical price at a store for that product. The beginning is a HUGE learning curve, but it does get much easier with time. It is exponentially harder in the beginning, but once you get it, well it is great!!
