Do any of you use Mint.com now? What do you think?
My husband started using this but switched to YODLEE. He said something about Mint getting their information from YODLEE or something of that nature. Anyway, he said he could pay bills from YODLEE which I guess he couldn’t from Mint. YODLEE is free, too.
My husband and I are using this. I must say neither one of us like it. We really liked Microsoft Money, but they do not have a version for a Mac, so we had to find something else to use when we got our Macs. The Mac people insisted this was better than the softwares they offer, so we have tried it for about a year. I really dislike Mint. It keeps showing all my deposits twice, some of my bills show up as paid twice also, even though they were only paid once. It will not match up existing debits or withdrawals even though it offers an option to add things ahead of time, so what is the point of entering them ahead of time. It takes a lot longer for withdrawals or deposits to show up on here than it did on our other software. Sometimes, the item has shown cleared on my bank site, but not show up on MINT for a few more days. I have to go to all my bank sites, savings accounts, etc online to find out what my real balance is, because it is almost always wrong, since it counts some things twice. There is no way to know what it will count twice, so I have to constantly look through for duplicates and mark duplicate next to it. We are really close to buying another P.C. just so we can keep our finance info straight. Every day my husband or I go in and mark things for categories, such as groceries, clothing, etc. Just about every time we do this, the next day when we log in, some items have reverted back to misc, as if we never categorized them.
