Here are some ideas for creating Mother’s Day gift baskets. Whether you use these ideas for your own mom, or print them off to casually leave them where hubby or the kids can see them. Tea Time for Mom
Fill a basket with a mug or special cup that suits Mom’s personality: a sturdy ceramic with a funny saying, or a delicate tea cup with matching saucer. Add:
- Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies
- Assorted Teas
- Locally produced honey
- a scented candle (from your stockpile of free ones!)
Movies for Mom
Purchase a large bowl or popcorn bin from a discount or dollar store. Add:
- Popcorn
- A DVD of a movie she wanted to see but never made time to go see
- M&M’s
- A few cans of her favorite soda
- A special card from you with the invitation for a night out at the movies, too!
Mom’s Emergency Box
Using a red container, plastic box, or basket lined with red fabric. Add:
- Mom’s favorite candy
- Special gourmet chocolate she never buys for herself
- Favorite coffee
- Card with special note from you and a gift card to her favorite place (Starbucks, a restaurant, or bookstore)
- Devotional book/gift Bible
- Gift tag: “Mom’s ER” or “Mom’s 911”
