It’s back again, and because these opportunities go FAST, you’d better sign up quick!  I have never participated in this program , but many who have say the benefits are wonderful and there’s lots of free stuff.

What is Nielsen Homescan Consumer Panel?
The National Consumer Panel focuses on measuring consumer attitudes and behavior. The panel is made up of people just like you, whose opinions help manufacturers and retailers make decisions on what products to develop or improve.

As a Nielsen panel member, Homescan will provide you with a FREE hand-held scanner. Every time you or members of your household shop, you’ll use the scanner to scan the barcodes on all of your purchases. Then, once a week, you’ll send them your purchase information.

What’s in it for you?
You’ll earn gift points that are redeemable for name-brand merchandise, including electronics equipment, jewelry, household items, toys, and much more!  You’ll also earn entries into our many exciting sweepstakes.  But, above all, you’ll be making your opinions count!

Interested in becoming a Homescan Panelist?
Just go here and fill out the form! Please be aware that certain zip codes are excluded (I’m not sure which ones), so you may or may not qualify. It worth a shot to see, though!

Have any of you ever been a part of this before and would like to share your experience on this?  Let me know!

It can be time consuming – you have to scan EVERYTHING that you buy that comes into your house and obviously the easiest way to do that is to use your receipts to make sure you get everything. Sometimes that is just not practical.
You have to be diligent and transmit every week – your points for transmitting go up with consistency.
I’ve been a member for nearly a year and just now have points for a $25 Itunes card (just an example).

Not sure how much longer I will continue.

Yes, agreed, very time consuming! And the rewards aren’t as good as I had hoped.
