You need to spend $10 or more and can usually just ask for the item, but the Mystery Penny coupon is in the Wednesday paper.

Some areas are reporting Paper Towels. I hope that’s the case for me – I need that!
does the $10 need to be after coupons or can it be before coupons?
Penny Item can be BEFORE coupons, they usually aren’t very picky at most stores.
Is the coupon in the actual paper or the add….I never see it?!
It’s typically in the Wednesday edition of your local newspaper, not the actual Publix ad. It’ll say something like “Look what $.01 can get you”. I’ve never actually used the coupon. My stores automatically give me the item for $.01 when my purchase is at least $10 – even in the self-checkout lanes.
If you want to avoid any hassle, I would simply ask at Customer Service before you check out. Ask them if you need to have the coupon to get the penny item. I’m pretty sure they’ll say no.
