See the shopping trip from one of my “Deal Spotters“, Jennifer below!
I made a quick trip to my Publix yesterday to grab a few things from this week’s ad & use some rainchecks I had. I didn’t get a picture, but here are the items I purchased.

NOTE: My Publix accepts Save-A-Lot & Target as competitor, so I used a $5/25 and Target “Free Nabisco Cracker wyb 3 crackers”.
NOTE: I had a few coupons that expired on 5/31, but my Publix accepts expired coupons within the same week. If you’re not sure, make sure to ask at customer service ahead of time.
NOTE: After I got home & was looking over my receipt, I noticed they didn’t scan ANY of my Ritz Munchables ($5.36 worth). I will bring that to their attention & pay for them the next time I go back, so my actual oop should be $10.33. Still a pretty good shop!
Didn’t know Publix did rain checks. Good thing to know since when I went yesterday to get the Beggin Strips for my dog, they were sold out….and the ad had just started that day!!!
Yes, ALWAYS get a rain check if they are out of stock! They will give you a rain check for up-to 6 items. Some stores will also give rain checks for items in the yellow & green advantage buy flyers – but you would want to check with your store to be sure. Previously rain checks did not expire, but I’ve seen some newer ones that say they expire in 30 days.
Hi, just curious which Publix you shop at? I live in the Franklin area, and would love to know which Publix considers Target and Save-A-Lot as a competitor! Thanks!
Heather
Heather,
It was Smyrna. We will be posting the Publix Competitor store policies on NashvilleProvisions.com very soon! It will list which stores take certain competitors coupons!
a list will be awesome to have! I live in Murfreesboro and am always weary on using other competitor coupons, even thought the one on Memorial Blvd said they accept Kroger, Target, Food Lion – but nothing from Drug Stores (Walgreens, Rite Aid) etc.
My Publix no longer accepts Target coupons…boo!
Thanks for this info! Amazing savings!
(I shop at the moores lane location)
.-= Shab´s last blog ..Preparing myself… =-.
Every Publix store I shop at is different. My Publix in Lebanon, Tn will accept Target coupons, but no longer Save-A-Lot coupons. The Publix in Mt. Juliet will not accept Target coupons. My Publix will take up to 3 different coupons per item, and the one I went to in Murfreesboro last night would not. I wish they would all get on the same page!!!
