Save Money. Give Generously.
I want you to be able save money and budget your income well, so that you are able to give more generously. Let’s face it–there is so much need in our world today. How can we continue to ignore it? And honestly, I think a lot of people just don’t think they can do anything about it, but the truth is, every little bit does help. That’s why I’m passionate about Faithful Provisions readers coming together to make a big difference through our small change when you give $5 or $10 to our monthly Giving Challenge. And now, I’ve discovered Pure Charity–a site that exists to make giving your small change really easy, showing you how it all adds up to change lives around the globe.
Every one of your favorite stores has a charitable giving account, budgeting a portion of their profits each year to go to help others. Pure Charity is basically telling your favorite stores where you want your portion of their charitable giving funds to go.
For example, do you buy diapers and wipes every month online at Target? Do you load up on birthday and Christmas gifts every month at Barnes and Noble online? Access those sites through Pure Charity and a portion of your money spent is directed back into your giving fund. So you decide where the money goes.
Here’s how to get set up with your own Pure Charity account:
1. Sign up for a free Pure Charity account HERE.
2. Install the browser plugin. Need a little guidance about how the Rewards works? Check out this video:
3. Now, browse the projects. Every project on Pure Charity falls into one of six categories: food, freedom, health, opportunity, water, or relief. You can sort through them by category, region, or just search for a non-profit to support.
4. Support your favorite project. This month, we’re supporting Sweet Sleep and pulling together our small change to raise $1000 for 125 mosquito nets!
Once you’re all signed up, you can join the Faithful Provisions group where we will post the Giving Challenge projects that need backing and, hopefully, get them fully funded! I believe that this is going to make giving to the Giving Challenge and other projects really easy, really fun, and really eye-opening when you see what all of us FP readers working together can do.
