Since I spent so much last week at Whole Food’s and Kroger, I am trying to only get necessities over the next few weeks. I was near a Trader Joe’s this week, so I swung by on my way home and grabbed a few things.
I can’t seem to find my receipt and I forgot to take a picture, but here is a general idea of what I purchased. I spent around $20 and used no coupons, plus I got all hormone and antibiotic-free products and a few Gluten-Free items. I am missing some things, not enough coffee yet this morning!
- Applegate Farms Meat (used $1/1 coupon) – $2.69
- String Cheese (hormone and antibiotic free) – $2.99
- Gluten-Free Chips – $2.19
- avocados, 4 ct bag – $4.99
- Brown Rice Pasta -$1.99
- Whole Grain Pretzels (wow were these good!)
Ainsley and I spent a day blanching our greens. She is becoming quite the little kitchen helper, truly a helper! We will pick up our next share of our CSA box tomorrow, so I am excited to see what we get.I would think it is about time for tomatoes. I love tomatoes.
Our garden has just started yielding some this week. So, in the coming weeks you might be seeing a lot of ideas and recipes around tomatoes! Lots of grilling is also going on too, with zucchini, squash and eggplant starting to come into season. I absolutely love all these fresh vegetable options for my meal planning.
