Today is hard, no bones about it. It seems to happen that way when I have a lot to do…
a lot to accomplish…
a lot on my “to do” list.
Can you relate?
I woke up tired after a night of being up with two sick coughing children, one in our bed pummeling us with his restlessness. Everything under the sun was on my to-do lists and on my mind.
How am I going to get it all done?
Where will I find the time?
Will I get any time for myself today?
What are we having for dinner?
The questions and tasks never end do they? But, you know what, I am reminded that there is a reason I memorize God’s Word. There is a reason He wants us to tuck His Word into our hearts.
It’s because of days like this. I can quickly and easily remember His Great Promise.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. ~ Philippians 4:13

Why Memorize Scripture by A Holy Experience
Sorry that today is difficult. Caring for sick kids can really zap the energy and joy from any day much less from a day that you need to get things done. Just remember, you are a great mom and a fantastic blogger/teacher who helps so many people! Give yourself a break and order some pizza.
Wow – this sounds like me and the thoughts that crowd through my mind every day! Thanks for the reminder that Christ is my strength! I will try to keep that foremost today!
I can SO relate! Being a mommy is tough work. Sometimes it’s hard to find the strength. Thank you for the scripture today!
Thanks for the post! I too have two sick kids on top of being sick with strep throat myself. Plus my best friend’s dad died up in Indiana and I’ve been beating myself up on how to get these kids well and get up there. So after a night of tears of frustration and prayer, I woke up much better both physically and spiritually. So the timing of your post was ideal.
