Thanks for being patient with my lighter post schedule. I am busily working on the second draft of my manuscript and getting so close to being done!
I ended up picking up a few deals this week at Publix, despite my original plan to do a Pantry Challenge. And I am hitting Kroger later today to stock up on cheese for all those holiday meals and appetizers. They have shredded cheese and slices for $1.25/ea, plus cream cheese is only $1. Many of my holiday appetizers have one of these two kinds of cheese in them. So, I am going to try to do a Pantry Challenge this coming week, due to Thanksgiving — I don’t have to cook!
*UPDATE*
Oops, I knew that total seemed light – I took a quick trip to Aldi to get some great deals this week too! Here is what I got for $17.51.
2 bags sweet potatoes ($1/ea!)
2 cans refried beans and 4 cans black beans
2 cans cream soup
garlic, bananas
bag granny smith apples only $1.99! (for apple pie tonight)
2 dozen eggs
tortillas, and chips
whole milk
What is Weekly Wrap-Up?
Weekly Wrap-Up is a post I do every Saturday to show you what I got this week for $40 for my family of four. My $40 a week budget includes all food, toiletries and cleaning supplies, it does not include eating out. (I do not include diapers and coffee in this budget, it is separate!)
Total Groceries OOP: $20.42
What great deals did you find this week? Be sure to post your trips and include links to your blog if you took an inventory or pictures.
